Carolina Summer Watermelon Skewer Board

No cooking. Five minutes. Peak July. This is the one you bring to something and put zero effort into and still have people asking about it by the end of the afternoon.
Carolina Summer Watermelon Skewer Board
Five minutes, zero heat, best use of a Saturday in July.
- One jar of Carolina Summer hummus
- Half a small watermelon, cubed
- 1 English cucumber, sliced into rounds
- Crumbled feta (optional but worth it)
- Skewers, or just a board with the hummus in the center
- Flaky salt to finish
How to build it: Thread watermelon cubes and cucumber rounds onto skewers, alternating. Or skip the skewers and arrange everything on a board with the open jar of Carolina Summer hummus in the center for dipping. Crumble feta over the watermelon if using. Hit everything with a pinch of flaky salt before setting it out.
Why it works: Carolina Summer has peach in it — real peach — and a little warmth underneath that. Watermelon is sweet and clean and cold. Together they taste like the season. The cucumber brings crunch. Feta adds salt and funk. The hummus does the work of being the flavor anchor for everything else on the board.
One note: Carolina Summer isn't in stores. You can find it at the Saturday and Sunday markets, or through Good Club — four jars a month shipped to you, your flavor choice.
